Y N0t #27-The Hans Rosling Show (RIP)
My mans Hansy was an absolute G: he taught global health and, sadly, passed away in 2017. He was born in 1948 and lived a pretty cool Sweden life. Today in class we watched a video he made where he animated data in real space, showing how different countries from different continents (each country represented by a point, the population of said country being represented by the size of the point, and the continent in which the country was located was represented by color) had their life spans and average incomes change throughout the years. In 1810, no country had a life span above 50 years and incomes of under $400. However, as the years progressed, most European countries, the United States, and a couple other countries really started to pull ahead with the industrialized revolution. Then, in 2009, most countries were about caught with Europe and the U.S.
