Hubbard talked about how people these days (this was the 1890's) are too lazy and complain too much to
get any work done. He used an example of a boss who asked his employee to search for someone in the
encyclopedia; he said that the employee was most likely asking at least 10 questions about his assignment
instead of just actually doing the assignment. After deciding that he would have to do the assignment, he
went to another employee to get help looking for the person’s name. The boss continued to smile as he
watched the two employees look under the wrong letter for the person’s name. Hubbard also quickly
touches on sweatshops, and how people in them should stop complaining and just get their job over with.
