Y N0t 2 #40-Rome Notes

There were a couple different groups that chose to settle in Rome, one of them being the Etruscans. These dudes came from the northern central region of the peninsula; they were metalworkers, artists, and architects. After these dudes, a couple of homies named the Greeks came along.  They already had a couple little things going on in the Mediterranean Sea. The Romans actually took quite a few ideas from the Greeks and, at least in their minds, made them better. Some examples of these things include their religion and alphabet. The bros who were the real homies (not to be confused with just the homies, aka the Greeks) to first settle here were the Latins.  These bros were the ones to found Rome on the banks of the Tiber river. On those banks, Rome was built on 7 hills, including one called Palatine. The last king of Rome was a tyrant named Lucius Tarquinius Superbus.  According to myth, he was offered the nine sibylline books by an oracle.  When turning down the deal, the oracle burned three of the books.  When she came a second time with six books and the same price, Tarquinius still turned her down.  She then burned three more, saying something along the lines of how when you have less of something, it increases its value.  Right then and there, he bought the last three books.

Y N0t 21 #0-The Final Act

So this is it.  Huh.  As much as I used to hate having to do blogs (since I would always forget to do them), I'm going to miss this thin...
